We are seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant or Homecare Aid to join our teams as a Direct Support Professional. You will play a vital role in providing care and support to individuals with developmental delays. Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental delays
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Administer medications according to prescribed instructions
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Engage individuals in social and recreational activities
- Provide emotional support to clients
- Monitor and document individual progress towards habilitative and behavior support goals
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment
Shift Options:
We are currently hiring:
Part time: 6am-3pm Saturday and Sunday
Part time: 3pm-11pm Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
Full time: 6am-7pm Saturday, 6am-3pm Sunday, 3pm-11pm Monday and Tuesday
Full time: 3pm-11pm Wednesday-Sunday
Requirements:
- Previous experience in childcare, care for individuals with developmental delays, nursing, or caregiving is preferred.
- Ability to pass background check
- HCA, CNA, nurse delegation, beneficial but not required as training can be completed after hire.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods of time
- Knowledge of resident rights and social work principles
- Knowledge of infectious disease care protocols
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if required)
- 18 and older
